Les GILL  has many years’ experience in the Automotive and Rail Industry. Working in the very complex environment of bringing new product to market.  He has held senior positions in Engineering, Commercial, Purchasing, Project Management roles in the Automotive and Rail Industries. Most recently Les is Visiting Lecturer at Wolverhampton University where he teaches Lean & Agile Manufacturing, with a twist.

Focus areas are:

Business Models development, Funding signposting, Value Proposition development, from a customers points of view, and Process Management. He is an advisor to a major SME, (SDE Technology).

He has a tremendous level of enthusiasm and commitment to the development of technology throughout the supply chain.

He has an MBA from Warwick Business School and awarded Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) by qualification. He majored on International Trade, Concept to Customer processes and Design to Avoid Assembly (ask him, he will explain).

His early work was published in ; Just in time Manufacturing in Perspective, written by Alan Harrison.

And most of all he has the drive to succeed and support others to succeed.

Focus areas include solutions design and business improvement applying lean principles, improving quality and cost effectiveness of overall customer service and operational excellence.

Doctoral research focus on the impact of the Industry 4.0 horizontal integration on current business models and on intellectual property strategies.
